Thread: MAP Sensor Question

    Default MAP Sensor Question

Sniper EFI key-on/engine-off, MAP sensor reading 103 kPa. This is out, but very close to spec. Is this a problem?

No, that's a very typical MAP kPa reading for key-on/engine-off.

Just thought I should ask. Thanks Danny.

My MAP sensor reading is always highlighted with yellow caution. I've tried to change this with no luck. I've read the Sniper EFI is supplied with a sensor with a range of 0 to 210 kPa. My engine running is normally 33 kPa +or-. What numbers would minimum & maximum caution be, or some settings that would work to eliminate the annoying yellow square.

It doesn't need a minimum caution/warning light. I'd program the maximum caution/warning light at 106 kPa, since a
naturally aspirated 1 bar MAP sensor measures to 105 kPa. (Yes, even though the Sniper EFI uses a 2 bar MAP sensor).

The Caution & Warning (background colored) indications can be customized on the touchscreen gauges.
