Thread: Will 351W Dual Sync Distributor fit a Super Victor intake?

    I'm putting together an EFI setup for a 351W engine, going with HP EFI components. Does anyone know if the newer Holley 565-101 dual sync distributor will clear the intake on an Edelbrock 29245 Super Victor. The only info I can find says that that intake requires an MSD 8578 to clear the front water crossover, but that info is from way before the dual sync distributor came out. I might have to call both MSD & Holley to try and get physical measurements of both distributors if nobody knows.

    EDIT: I called Holley tech support and got the following measurements for the dual sync 565-101. Only measurements they had were that the cap is 5" across and from the top of the cap to where it mounts to block is 9.32".
    The MSD 8578 shows the cap being 4.75" across, and the height as being 7.875". The MSD is almost 1.5" shorter and is made to fit the intake, so I would imagine the dual sync should clear no issues.

    UPDATE: Just following up. I got the Dual Sync Distributor and it fits with the Super Victor intake just fine.
