    Default Any plans for 6L80E control?

    They are more & more available now. It’s a great transmission for swaps. PCS has a stand-alone that will do it. Any plans for this?

    OK, I'm going to show my ignorance here. I've not done a 4L80E transmission yet, but I was of the understanding that this could control the 4L60E, 4L65E, 4L70E, 4L80E & 4L85E transmissions using the Holley 558-405 Harness.

    LOL, he's referring to the newer 6L80E (six speed transmission), not the 4L80E.

    The 6L transmissions have the Techm (TCM/Valvebody) built into the transmission. The PCS stand-alone module for the 6L is the only one of its kind, and has very complicated information being translated and sent to the transmission module. I don't see Holley or anyone else taking on this challenge, since it can not be done with simple PWM solenoid control like a 4L transmission.

    The 8L transmissions should be slightly easier since there's not an internal TCM, but they are still clutch to clutch shifting, so shift timing & torque management are very important to their survival.

    If you want to use a 6L transmission, I suggest you contact PCS directly and order the TCM-2650. You will need to wire the TPS, RPM & speed sensors into this module separately, since Holley doesn't make the CAN info available, and they talk at different CAN Bus speeds. -Greg

    I just got a reply email from tech support, they said the Dominator EFI will shift the 6L80E?

    I just emailed a Holley EFI Engineer and his response is, "At this time, Holley does not have a product to support the 6L80E transmission".
