Thread: LCD Touchscreen Going Crazy

    Default LCD Touchscreen Going Crazy

I just got my Sniper EFI installed a few weeks ago and got just over 100 miles on it now. It's in a CJ7 SBC 383/700R4. It's been running fairly good since it's still Learning, but my touchscreen seems to go crazy first thing in the morning? It's about 10°-12°C and it's like I'm tapping on the screen really fast. It flicks through the screens going away from my multi screen display?

I popped out the SD card as per Danny to see if that helped. I thought it was good until yesterday, the screen went crazy again. I shut off the engine & restarted it again, same thing. So restart and it seem to work until today, and screen same thing. Hit home button & back button, lights up and no control of screen?

Stupid question - have you tried cleaning the surface?

No, it's pretty clean. It's like I touch it the on other side of where I push, if that makes sense. I emailed Holley and tried to send video, I'll see if they get it.

I hope this link works. This is it, not changing back from a screen it popped on to. I have got a hold of Holley tech and it might be getting sent back. I wish I had the one that was changing screens, but it happened when I was driving.

I have a touchscreen that changes on its own as well. I live in Michigan and it seems to happen more when cold. It can also take up to two minutes for system to boot up when cold. Did you get your problem resolved?

Just checked it and it says Sniper EFI, so I don’t think that’s the issue. The screen gets stuck and goes to the tuning screen and won’t let you out of that until truck warms up. Very frustrating! The truck gets used for hunting so it’s a problem. Any other ideas?

Maybe you have a defective 3.5" TSLCD. Contact Holley Tech Service (LINK).

Hey all, I talked to Holley Tech and sent it back and it was defective. So they sent me a new one few weeks back. I've not tried new one yet, it's still in the box as my Jeep is off the road till spring most likely. Thanks for the help Danny.
