Thread: Wideband stuck at 20.0?

    Default Wideband stuck at 20.0?

    I have an older FJ0 wideband, which I believe is the same as the Holley Commander wideband. The car has been sitting for while before I bought it. Soon after I got the car, the wideband stopped working and is stuck at 20.0. The odd time it will start reading properly again, but 98% of the time its sits at 20.0. I checked the connectors at the controller and they seem fine. The connector at the sensor itself seems fine. Can anyone give me some troubleshooting tips?

    Ensure there's no exhaust leaks upstream of the WBO2 sensor. Also, a short lived WBO2 sensor is usually an installation or location problem.

    There's a WBO2 sensor testing procedure at the end of "Wideband O2 Sensor Notes":

    Key-on/engine-off. Also, the sensor heater will time out, so you'll need to work fast.
