Thread: Launch Timing Control

    Default Launch Timing Control

I have a question regarding Timing Retard controls while on the 2-Step and during a run. I've read through lots of posts on similar topics, but can't find a clear answer to my problem. I currently use a Timing Retard in the Basic I/O to pull timing starting at transbrake release, and tapering back in over time during the run. It works great. I would like to also pull timing while I'm on the transbrake for multiple reasons, but this wouldn't be a timed event, but would pull a certain amount of timing anytime the transbrake is activated.

Is there a way to do both of these timing retard functions without using up another input? My input for the Timing Retard #1 that I'm using is full. Other threads recommend using the Nitrous ICF for timing, but I can't see a way to accomplish this anywhere in the nitrous tables. Thanks for your time & recommendations.

So enable the Timing Retard #2 and "Activate With Input". The Timing Retard #1 & Timing Retard #2 can be combined together (drag & drop) on the same transbrake Input # in the Pin Map.

Thanks Danny. I apologize for lack of clarity in my thread. That's exactly what I tried to do first, but that input is already full in the Pin Map. There are already three items stacked in the transbrake input. I have another input available, but was trying to keep from using it for this.

Make an Advanced Table with a Timing Offset, and use the transbrake button to enable it.

If the Advanced menu icon (ICF) isn't already uploaded (added) to the top Toolbar, follow these instructions:
(This same procedure applies to all the various Individual Configuration menu items.)
The Advanced ICF function is an "Individual Configuration" of the Holley EFI software.
At top of screen, Click "Toolbox" and "Add Individual Config".
At top of new window, select "Individual Configuration Library".
At bottom of new window, select "Holley EFI Advanced Config".
    Select "Advanced" and open "default.adv".
The "Advanced ICF" icon will then be present at top of screen.
May God's grace bless you in the Lord Jesus Christ.
