Have gotten the datalogging to work the afr is all over the place, but I may have found the issue. I took the pre-pump filter off today for a second look, and managed to find a small piece of dirt that was lodged in the inlet. It was about the size of a match head. I'll drive the car for a few days to allow the self tuning to settle down, and then do another datalog. If it's OK I'll report back, but if not I'll send the info as requested. Regards, Robert

The in-tank "sock filter" is actually an excellent pre-filter. I've experienced some problems with that small plastic pre-filter (with external in-line Walbro fuel pump). After experimenting with different options, I found that using a sock filter (just like the OEM in-tank pumps use) was the best pre-filter option. I also drilled out the fuel pump's suction side fitting to allow easier volume. These are the only two aftermarket sock filters I've ever seen for 3/8" pick-up tubes. They're designed for external pumps - perfect for aftermarket EFI systems:

I replaced the main filter, and I had the primary injectors cleaned-just to be sure. Fired it up and all good now!

I did a datalog and the AFR is looking good. The poor old ECU is still struggling to dial in the tune, after trying to compensate for all the mess that the clogged filter/injectors has caused, but it's actually running better than it probably ever was.

I suspect some junk was lodged in the new lines that I installed, and this has made it's way through the whole system. Here's hoping it's all sorted now.
