    Default Distributor Issue

    I am using a MSD small cap distributor set up with there coil and ignition box. I had the opportunity to buy the Holley set up when I bought My C950 MPFI but I was talked into the MSD set up. I have a condensation problem inside the cap. I'm having to clean the contacts inside the cap a lot and the metal parts inside the cap have rusted. Looks like MSD has resolved this with coated parts but I wonder if the Holly small cap distributor does the same thing. Am I losing any power because of the rusted parts. My set up is really coldblooded and cleaning the contacts help. Any advice would help.

    Seems as though your distributor isn't properly vented.
    Corroded rotor/cap terminals increase resistance and lose power (misfires).
