Thread: New System

    Default New System

I need help putting the parts together to get the system to work with the engine that I have.
    I have installed a Ford 4.6L Modular 2V engine (out of a '08 Police Crown Victoria) in a '63 F100.
I want to use the Dominator system to not only control the transmission, but to be able to modify the engine in the future.
I'm having a hard time trying to figure out which wiring harness will work, since they all are only supported up to the 2004 model year.

Most people find this document very helpful:

I have that and it is helpful. The problem I have is that all the wiring harness shown are for 2004 engines, and I have a 2008. Not sure what the difference is if anything, and if I can use a harness designed for a 2004 system or not. Jack

So I called Holley, they were very nice, but they had the same problem I did. They do not know why the system does not work with a 2008 engine, when it will work with the 2004 engine. Looking into it more the injectors are the same, the coil packs look to be the same, the cam sensor is the same, the throttle body is different (Mechanical to Drive-By-Wire). I'm moving forward with the system, I don't see why it won't work, but we'll see. Jack
