Thread: Which distributor do I have?

Question Which distributor do I have?

So I'm quite confused here. I originally thought I had a P/N 8366 distributor because that's what my ignition setup calls for, and the 8366 rotor & cap that I ordered worked perfectly. Lately I've been having intermittent ignition problems and diagnosed it to be the ignition module and/or pickup. Went online, ordered a replacement module/pickup for a 8366, dissembled the distributor and found a much different looking pickup than what I bought. So now I'm stuck with wondering what distributor I have. Even though this forum is for the Commander I was hoping someone could help me here, as I still haven't been accepted to post on MSD's forums. Here's some pictures. Yes, I know they're lousy.

Yes, there are different pickup types (especially with aftermarket distributors), but the ignition module itself is the same.

You're all set, everyone is currently registered. It's better you posted this here anyway.
