Thread: Sniper Fuel Tank?

    Default Sniper Fuel Tank?

I'm about to pull the trigger on the Sniper EFI, and I'm also going to do an in-tank fuel pump. I'm researching my options and the Sniper Fuel tank is on my radar. My question is, if anyone knows if I bought the tank does it come assembled or will it come in parts that I have to put together, including altering the sending unit to match up with the tank?

Please read the instructions (click on "Tech Resources") for your particular Sniper fuel tank (LINK).
May God's grace bless you in the Lord Jesus Christ.

I see it needs to be assembled then. Next question is, if there's any advantage of going with a Sniper tank vs one from Tanks, Inc.? They look to be exactly the same.

Either fuel tank would suit your needs fine.

I buy all of my fuel tanks from Tanks Inc, which looks suspiciously the same as the pics you find of the Sniper fuel tank. You do have to measure and install the pump & sending unit, but it's not hard, follow the directions, make the measurements twice! I have done at least 20 of them over the last few years, and find that the GPA-4 (Walbro 255) setup works great for a lot of applications. I HIGHLY recommend you get a sheet of Dynamat extreme to put on the top of the tank, or you'll hear the pump sometimes, this helps.

Thanks for the heads up. I bought the Tanks Inc, and I'll be working on setting up the pump & sending unit this weekend. Glad I checked back here for the Dynamat tip. It's fairly expensive, so I looked for an alternative, and in my search I came up with guys that were using this for car stereo. Looks like a winner for this type of application and only costs $17 for the roll.

Definitely do one or the other. I didn't, but will be adding it when I drop the tank to swap in a bigger pump.
