Thread: Sniper 102 TB & 543-105 IAC

    Default Sniper 102 TB & 543-105 IAC

I have a Sniper EFI 102 throttle body with the 543-105 IAC, and a Painless Performance ECU (MEFI 4B) & wiring harness. My IAC & throttle body are brand new, but the IAC doesn't seem to be working. I can't hold a low idle around 750 RPM, engine tries to die and then cranks up to around 1500 RPM, IAC counts steadily drop to zero. If I unplug the IAC, engine does the exact same thing.

Anyway to troubleshoot the IAC or anyone know if it's wired differently from a factory IAC? I can apply power to the leads to troubleshoot, but not sure what leads to apply to, and don't want to apply to the wrong leads and jack anything up. Thanks.

With Holley EFI, the IAC motor is usually a GM unit for LSx, TPI & Stealth Ram applications. And Holley/Chrysler unit (LINK) for TBI, MPFI & Terminator applications. They're dimensionally the same IAC motor, but wired/pinned differently. (Determining Which IAC Motor - Scroll down to end of webpage.)
