Thread: IAC Not Working

    Default IAC Not Working

My IAC does not work what so ever. Makes no difference when it's unplugged. It commands 100%, but nothing bought a new IAC motor, still does not work. Last time at the track, the boost 13 psi blew it back and my idle was at 2000 RPM. That was when I changed it, but it was not bad apparently. It is an LSx style. Wiring problem? Driving me nuts. My engine is pretty radical, and it would be nice if it worked. I've tried every setting I know of so far, and no luck. Thanks, Russ

Just a note for all users who are wondering about the IAC wiring.
There are two versions of wiring depending on which harness you have.

One is wired for a Chrysler IAC (most Harnesses).
And the other is wired for a GM LSx IAC (LSx Harnesses).

    Pin-outs are:
    J1-B1 – IAC A Lo - Purple/Blue
    J1-B2 – IAC A Hi - Purple/Yellow
    J1-B8 – IAC B Lo - Purple/White
    J1-B9 – IAC B Hi - Purple/Black

    The Chrysler IAC is wired:
    Pin A - B1 - IAC A Low
    Pin B - B8 - IAC B Low
    Pin C - B9 - IAC B Hi
    Pin D - B2 - IAC A Hi

The GM LSx Harnesses are wired:
    Pin A - B8 - IAC B Low
    Pin B - B9 - IAC B Hi
    Pin C - B1 - IAC A Low
    Pin D - B2 - IAC A Hi
