    Default Wizard Problem After Update

So this is the last time I let my so called friend play. I let him upgrade my Terminator to V4, and also update the 3.5" TSLCD. After about 30 minutes, he says I don't know what was hard about that. Well I went to the Wizards to reset the ECU, and it says no folder found. I said to him, YOU DID save the GCF? Blank looks all around. So my question is, how do I get the generic GCF back into the ECU please? Can I download it from somewhere, and where does it go? Thanks in advance. Webby

The GCF Wizard is for uploading a base calibration, not retrieving your Global Folder (which is in the "File", "ECU Globals" screen). If the touchscreen's GCF Wizard doesn't work, you'll have to use the laptop EFI software to load the Global Folder.

If you didn't save your Global Folder somewhere, it's gone. Try looking in your computer's "Documents". Go to your "Documents", "Holley" folder, "HEFI V2/V3/V4" folders, & "Global Files" folder.
May God's grace bless you in the Lord Jesus Christ.

OK thanks. When I installed the unit, it asked me what type of throttle body I was using, engine type, timing control, etc. When I go to the Wizard to set this up, I get the prompt no folder. I must be stupid hey.

When updating to V4, the GCF Wizard files aren't located in the proper folder. When you update to V4, you shouldn't need the GCF Wizard anymore. V4 is for advanced users, and requires the laptop EFI software to access the advanced parameters.

So I should revert back to version 3 then? I'm having enough trouble already.

Why bother, you already lost your Global Folder/File. If you have to start over, it might as well be with V4. Holley Tech Service (LINK) can inform you where to put the V4 GCF Wizard files.

I've just reloaded the original version. As I tried to load V3 and the handheld controller went blank. I will get my head around this first, and then do upgrades. In V4 I don't know how to get the setup done to start with. Thanks for your help again. I'm going to pay a tuner.
