Default TPS % starts jumping after engine wash.

Almost zero issues until today, before I washed my engine. No direct water spray to electric sensors or connectors, but afterwards, engine idle was weird. So I start to check things. TPS % seem to be jumping a couple %, even when not move pedal. I check & dried connector, and put contact, no influence. TPS AutoSet not help either. Maybe TPS sensor is broken, What kind TPS sensor it is? (It's expensive to order one sensor from Holley to Europe.)

    Holley Terminator EFI 550-405.

OK TH191. There's now MTE-THOMSON 7268 SE throttle position sensor. I hope Standard Motor Products sensor is better quality.

Standard Motor Products is very good quality. If that's not available, cross-reference the part number to another name brand.

I have the MTE7268. It came on mine no issues, till I washed the engine. Now at 60%, won't start.

That's because the engine won't start if the throttle is opened (TPS Position) beyond the "Clear Flood TPS" setting (in Engine Parameters).

Same thing and it makes absolutely no sense. Really needed to wash things down, and afterwards TPS went absolutely nuts. Inspected and no wetness found. It’s a sealed unit (appears well sealed anyway). So intriguing thing about this; Holley replacement is 543-111, but system shipped with the MTE-7268. Odd. Found TH191 online, only not in local parts stores. Actually I found the TH191 so cheap, I bought two as spares. Plan to use Holley replacement when it arrives. However, I think I’ll be using silicone and sealing the TPS 100%.
