Thread: Installed V4, Wizard doesn't work & won't start.

    Default Installed V4, Wizard doesn't work & won't start.

Have only been running on V3 for a few hours, so installed V4 without a saved Global File, and wouldn't start from scratch. Have handheld for programming and initial wizard setup will not load to ECU, fuel pump does not power, get an error message to do with "GC" on the handheld and says try again. I've tried many times with no success. Any help would be appreciated.

If the touchscreen's GCF Wizard doesn't work, you'll have to use the laptop EFI software to load the Global Folder.
Yes, the V4 EFI software has base calibrations available. Open the EFI software and click "Open Global File", then "Base Cals".
When using the EFI software, everything is done with the laptop. You no longer need the GCF Wizard or those related files on the 3.5" LCD Touchscreen.

The EFI (laptop) software, ECU firmware & touchscreen unit (if applicable) must all be V4 compatible (LINK).
When updating to V4, the GCF Wizard files aren't located in the proper folder. When you update to V4, you shouldn't need
the GCF Wizard anymore. V4 is for advanced users, and requires the laptop EFI software to access the advanced parameters.

Your Terminator ECU is an HP ECU, when a USB cable is connected. Download the Holley V3/V4 EFI software to your laptop (LINK),
open the software with USB cable (LINK) connected, click on "USB Link" to go "Online" with the ECU, and select "Get From ECU",
(if there's still a Global Folder/File in it), or "Send To ECU" (if you're selecting a new base calibration to upload into the ECU).

It's imperative the Engine & Ignition Parameters, Sensors, Idle & Spark ICFs are verified to be correct, before initially starting the engine.
If this isn't a DBW application, ensure the DBW ICF isn't included in your Global Folder (Toolbox, "Remove Individual Config", Drive-By-Wire).

A base calibration is what you start with to create your Global Folder/File.
Five ICFs (software icons) are required to operate the engine: Fuel, Spark, System, Sensor & Idle.
Program the correct information into the Engine Parameters, Ignition Parameters, Sensors, Idle & Spark ICFs. (Base Calibrations) (Quick Start Guide)! (Initial Checks & Adjustments - Read This!)
May God's grace bless you in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Thank you for the quick response! I'll use that process tomorrow.
