    Default Fuel Rail Plumbing

    I'm trying to setup fuel system for <800 HP NA BBC combo. Tentatively planning on running a -8 feed to the engine where it will connect to a Y-Block. Then 2 -6 out of the Y-block with one line going to each rail. Then out of the other end of the rail the -6 lines will connect to a common regulator. The return out of the regulator will be a -8 back to the tank.

    It seems to me that surely feeding both rails with their own -6 should be sufficient. However I see lots wanting -8 rails, etc. Unfortunately, the rails I have are -6 in/outlet, so it seems pointless to put flares on them to run -8 lines. Since feed/return is also limited to a -8 due to plan to run 1/2" SS hard line under car. Then again, the cost to replace all the fittings later if there are problems is > cost of new rails. Thoughts before I dump a boatload into all the -6 plumbing? Thanks, John
