Thread: Pin-Mapped to a non-available connector?

    Default Pin-Mapped to a non-available connector?

    I used the custom Global Folder for LS1 with cable throttle body. When I save the file, it gives me a warning that inputs or outputs are Pin-Mapped to a non-available connector. I didn't do this, it is just the way the file was from the beginning? This must be a known issue already with a quick fix. How do I correct this?

    V3 Software: Under Toolbox, open Preferences and temporarily uncheck "ECU is HP EFI".
    V4 Software: Open "ECU Configuration" (System ICF), and temporarily select Dominator "ECU Type".
    Then look in the Pin Map for anything assigned, such as "Second Fuel Pump" or "ECU Log Trig".
    Drag it away from the Connector J2 Input, up to the Unassigned Inputs/Outputs area.
    Then close & reopen the Pin Map. Lastly, return the EFI software to HP ECU Configuration.

    Delete existing I/O by dragging it up to the Unassigned area, and disable it in the EFI software. Then close & reopen the Pin Map.
    There's probably existing assigned I/O present; you just can't see it because your software is in HP "ECU Type" mode (System ICF).

    Does this fix also apply to V2.2.0 Build:4? I experienced the same problem described by Qwktrip. The EFI & software shipped from the engine builder in April, 2016. I have read the ECU, made the changes as described, and so far everything looks OK. Before uploading to the ECU, I wanted to confirm the fix also applies to the version of software, V 2.2.0, I'm using. Thanks.

    Yes, it does (V2 & V3). It's not a "fix", it's simply the proper use of the EFI software.

    I've been trying to do this, but I cannot drag anything from the other connectors to the unassigned area. My Global File had the incorrect ECU type selected as Dominator. When I move it to HP I get the injector outputs Pin Mapped to non available connector (J2), must be fixed before syncing error.

    Temporarily select Dominator ECU Type and check/correct the "Fuel Injector Information" & "Injector Set(s)" in Engine Parameters (System ICF).
