Thread: Help Choosing EFI

    Default Help Choosing EFI

I'm going EFI this Spring, and was looking at either the soon to be released Terminator Stealth EFI or the Sniper EFI. My current setup in my 1972 Nova is a GM 502 HO with Dart Pro1 Heads, and a TH400, with future plans to go to an overdrive transmission. Please, any guidance and opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Will this be a 4L60E/4L80E transmission? If so, you'll want the Terminator TBI with transmission control (LINK).

I'm not sure on the transmission yet. That will be later in the year. Would there be any reason to wait for the Stealth Terminator? Do they both have the same ECU? Tim

The Terminator Stealth hasn't been released yet, so I don't know if transmission control (Dominator ECU) will be an option.

Do they both have the same ECU?
Regardless of the EFI system (Terminator, HP or Dominator EFI), there's only two ECU options; the HP ECU or the Dominator ECU.
The Sniper EFI has a different, much smaller ECU that's encased in the side of the throttle body, and has limited tuning options.
