    Default Remote Tuning

Any suggestions who can do a little remote tuning for me to get my idle right? I have a surging idle that I don't know what to do with. Otherwise it runs great. Thanks, Vince.

2stroke helped me get mine in order. After I watched him work it, I can easily do it myself next time.

I do it sometimes...but only when our internet is working fast enough, or when I'm not trying to get a bunch of cars ready for a race, or for a track rental.

Can the remote tune guys fix a surging idle without really seeing what the engine is doing? How would you hear/feel what the thing is doing adequately?

In the hands of a skilled tuner, even just a few datalogs will do the trick for seeing what is wrong.

There are really only a few things that cause surging idle.
Air/fuel issue, wrong base spark, not enough or too much idle air.
And usually the IAC will take care of the idle air issue (if it's setup correctly).

Interested in doing some remote tuning on my Dart 331, TF 190 11R Comp ported, FTI custom cam, Powerglide transmission (1.80), Holley HP EFI, Vortech YSI @ 20 psi of boost with meth? Thanks, Ron.

Nope. I only tune in person now, and I'm picky about the cars I tune.

I like the idea of remote tuning, but I wonder how it compares to dyno tuning? There are several shops in my area (Chicago suburbs) that offer chassis dyno tuning with Holley EFI. I just don't know if they're reputable. My combo is pretty simple, LS3 hot cam crate motor with HP EFI. What "feedback" do remote tuners use to know if the changes they are making are positive?

Remote tuning can't measure horsepower & torque. Remote tuning is for issues like driveability & idle problems.

The Holley EFI software (Data Monitor, Strip Chart, etc.).
