Thread: Switching to a small cap HEI distributor.

    So I'm finally getting around to this. Installing a GM small cap HEI with GM module. Can you help with the software settings on the Ignition Parameters screen?

    Ignition Type: GM HEI (computer controlled)
    Crank Sensor: 1 pulse/fire?
    Sensor Type: Is it Magnetic?
    Cam Sensor Type: Not used
    Output Setup Type: EST Output?
    Cranking Parameters: 15°? 400 RPM?

    Yes. The only other parameters are Ignition Reference Angle - 10° & Inductive Delay - usually 245 usec.

    What? Those parameters are only listed when selecting the "Custom" Ignition Type.
    The "GM HEI (Computer Controlled)" selection doesn't use the "Custom" Ignition Parameters.

    Cranking Parameters: 15°? 400 RPM?
