Thread: Throttle Body Height

    Default Throttle Body Height

I have a Holley 4150 FI intake, and was going to use a 4150 TB. Is it the same height as a carb?
Trying to see if it will fit, as I have a carb sitting on it now, with a carb hat (turbo engine) and it's real close.
    Thanks.

The Holley 112-577 1000 CFM MPFI throttle body is only 2" tall, from the base to air cleaner flange.

The Terminator TBI unit is 3" tall from the base to air cleaner flange.

The Sniper TBI unit is 3¼" tall from the base to air cleaner flange.

The C950 & Avenger/HP TBI unit is 2" tall from the base to air cleaner flange:
Base to air cleaner flange - 2".
Base to top of injectors - 4⅝".
Base to top of air cleaner stud - 6⅜" (cut shorter to fit application).

Thanks Danny. The 112-577 just might work. Where did you find the specs?
Under the Throttle Body, the specs only show limited info, no measurements.

I measured it myself. The Holley 112-577 throttle body is on my engine.

Thanks. Just wanted to be sure, as I have seen it measured the same height as a carb.
I'm using the Holley HP, the FI intake (LS) and a turbocharger, and had hood issues if I stuck a carb and hat on it for reference.
The 2" height would cure that problem, as I would rather use the 4 hole throttle body, as opposed to a 90° and single blade TB.

That's impossible...it's 2" tall, from the base to air cleaner flange (much shorter than a carburetor).

Just wanted to be sure. One last question and I can put this to rest. Does it come with or have provisions for TPS & IAC - picture shows one or the other. Also, do they accept the GM style plugs the HP/LS harness uses? Thanks, your a huge help with this.

Yes, it has a TPS sensor (circular 3-pin connector) and a Chrysler pinned IAC motor (stepper type).
