    Default Holley Dominator Pump Wiring Help

    I have the Dominator ECU and just purchased the Dominator pump (12-1800). I need help wiring it up to work off one pump driving around, then have the second pump come on with boost. I've looked at the ECU and pump instructions and can't figure this out. Holley ECU harness a has relay already. Do I need to add another relay? I need a simple detailed drawing of some type (for wiring idiots), if possible, for wiring up because wiring is not my thing!

    I have those instructions. The green wire in the Holley harness goes where? To another relay? I'm lost and wiring has me confused!! Can the green wire from ECU go to the orange wire on the pump to work the first pump? I have an input wire on the harness the was used for a PWM pump. Can that wire go to the other switched +12V on the 2nd relay. I know the ECU will have to be reconfigured to activate the 2nd pump for Boost/TPS settings in order to come on.

    Well, the instructions clearly illustrate the need for two relays (one for each internal Dominator pump).

    The Holley EFI green fuel pump wire connects to the relay #1 for the primary internal Dominator pump.

    This shows nothing about hooking up to Holley's ECU?
    Relay #2 triggers the secondary internal Dominator pump. This requires enabling the "Secondary Fuel Pump" Output in Basic I/O (System Parameters), which will create the "Second Fuel Pump" Output that must be Pin Mapped. Remember to also enter the Inputs/Outputs screen (under System Parameters), and select the "Output Type" (+12V or Ground). Then this trigger wire can be routed to the relay #2.

    To connect up to 4 Inputs & Outputs to the EFI main harness, use I/O Auxiliary Harness 558-400.
    Eight Wire I/O Auxiliary Harness Connector Pin-Out (also in the Holley EFI Wiring Manual Link):
    Pin A...A12...White/Blue (Input #1)
    Pin B...A3...White/Red (Input #2)
    Pin C...A13...White/Black (Input #3)
    Pin D...A4...White/Green (Input #4)
    Pin E...B12...Gray/Yellow (Output #1)

    Some of us are not good with wiring, and I thank you for the help. Looking at the dual relay diagram, can I hook the green ECU wire to the green/black switched +12V wire even if the Holley harness has a relay made into it for a fuel pump? If so, this would be 3 relays? Can this be done (Holley) green harness wire (1st relay) connect to the orange wire from pump, then red pump wire to the another (2nd) relay, then the +12V switched off relay back to a chosen input/output for triggering second pump. Sorry for this, but I really do not like wiring and hate to screw up the ECU or pump!

    Yes, the Holley EFI System Relay (green wire in EFI harness) just triggers the primary fuel pump relay (green/black wire).

    Primary fuel pump relay terminals:
    #86 - Switched +12V (green/black wire)/ECU Signal (green wire from EFI harness)
    #85 - Ground (black wire)
    #87 - Activation To Pump (orange/white wire)
    #30 - Battery +12V (red wire)

    Secondary fuel pump relay terminals:
    #86 - Switched +12V (green/black wire)/ECU Signal (Pin Mapped Output wire)
    #85 - Ground (black wire)
    #87 - Activation To Pump (red wire)
    #30 - Battery +12V (red wire)

    Yes, but only two are actual fuel pump relays. The system relay (EFI harness) also powers the fuel injectors.

    I've never used the ECU's fuel pump trigger wire to directly power the pump (even if it is less than 10 amps).
    I've always used a separate relay (2nd relay) because that green wire is still only 14 AWG.
    The 2nd fuel pump relay is used so the fuel injectors aren't subjected to the pump's amp draw.
    It's only a 20 amp fuse and it also feeds power to the fuel injectors (& ignition coils - LSx).
    I prefer to use 10 gauge wire due to its long length, especially for high output race pumps.
    You'd simply use the green fuel pump wire to trigger the primary fuel pump relay.
