    Default Replace regulator or pump?

    I use quite a bit of fuel...
    Four two barrel Stromberg 48s on a 4-71 blower; feeding something close to 325 ci.
    Under normal load, fuel psi drops to 1-2 psi, from static pressure of 3-4 psi. I'm afraid of "running out of fuel" when I get my foot in it, which wouldn't be good for the blower motor.

    The Strombergs don't like this high of a static pressure. I'm already using the Holley 1-4 psi regulator and a Mr. Gasket 12S electric pump. To get the static pressure to stay around two ALL the time, what may be a good move?

    Have you tried setting the fuel pressure regulator to 2 psi?
    Is the fuel system plumbing large enough to flow at only 2 psi?

    I've set the regulator below 3 already; and it's fine at idle. However, under load the gauge bounces between 0-2 psi. Only tried that for a few minutes. I don't want to force a lean condition, when the blower is already producing additional heat.

    This doesn't seem like a fuel pressure regulator problem to me.
    This seems like a fuel pump (Link) or fuel plumbing (Link) problem.
