Thread: Billet Inline 12-1400 Second Pump Not Pumping

Default Billet Inline 12-1400 Second Pump Not Pumping

This pump has 2 separate internal pumps that are meant to operate independently as well as together.

I'm having no luck operating the second pump by itself with the primary disconnected. This was the main reason for purchasing this pump to have a back-up should the primary fail.

    Symptoms:
The primary pump (Red and Black wires) works fine, pump primes, pressure comes up, pump can be heard "loading up". Car runs and drives fine.

With just the Secondary pump connected (Orange and Brown wires) it does not pressurize the system, pump can be heard operating but does not "load up", and fuel pressure remains at Zero. I even loosened a fitting to see if fuel would squirt out, and nothing.

The pump is setup correctly as instructed, and is mounted below the tank. So it is being gravity fed, and it is -10AN IN & OUT, with pre & post filters all -10AN up to the regulator, at which point it is stepped to -8AN.

Pump was purchased last week brand new.
Am I missing something or is this a faulty unit? Thanks.
