Red G2X Methanol A/F/R Sensor Issue

I recently purchased an A/F Sensor for alky. I am getting readings of 4.5 to 4.7 and the engine is dead lean, just started to pepper plugs. The sensor is in the primary pipe about 12" from the flange. Any idea why I am getting a rich reading on a very lean engine?

    Sir,

Do you just have this in one primary tube or in a collector? If in a collector you may be getting a reading from another primary that is more rich. Also make sure your sensor type is scaled to alky. It sounds like it is but it may not have been sent to the logger itself.

It was programed to alky by the dealer and yes it is in 1 primary pipe around 12" from the head flange.......

Sent out a file Saturday August 3rd, no reply as of yet. Heading out to a race in the morning with no A/F again. Thanks.........

              gisaac,

I received the file while away at the NHRA event in Seattle and shared it with the team when I got back. The concensus is that the O2 sensor is reading correctly. There must be some other reason for the appearance of your spark plugs, such as high compression. Have you leaned the car at all to see if the readings and performance improve?

              Sincerely,
