  • Baro sensor on car that didn't have it from factory?

    It's a '96 Mustang, MAF only from factory far as I know, wondering what kind of Baro sensor I should run for compensation? Going to be going up & down 1000 feet of elevation pretty regularly driving to tracks and I don't want to have to constantly adjust the tune manually. I'm also wondering how to setup the Advanced ICF Table for this. Trying to achieve MAF level driveability without a MAF is fun. Anyone figured out how to add a MAF yet?

        I'm asking about either Terminator X or HP/Dominator. I have a Terminator X Max on order, and I'm gonna upgrade to Dominator down the road.

          The Terminator X has a built-in MAP sensor that can handle a N/A engine. A Dominator would need an external compatible MAP sensor. You can scale the MAP column axes to give you more resolution in areas you would like tune more.

            A 1 bar MAP sensor application (naturally aspirated engine) can use the internal 1 bar MAP sensor in the Terminator X ECU (the blue hose exiting the ECU).

              A well tuned VE% Table will work very well with altitude changes because the load axis is already measuring manifold pressure. Andrew

                So basically, just don't worry about differential from atmospheric to manifold?

                  I don't believe I said, "not to worry about it." I said that a well tuned VE% Table will compensate well for changes in barometric pressure. Andrew
