  • Accurate way to display Fuel Consumption

Does anyone know if there's a somewhat accurate way to display amount of fuel used? Sorry if this has been answered, tried searching and found nothing. I'm installing a Terminator X MAX and 6L80E controller in an Ultra4 Offroad Racecar. Typically I just go with roughly 1.5-2 MPG and fillup based on that, but I'm hoping there's a way to program an output showing the amount of fuel that has been used. In my head it would be fairly simple (in a programming method) to calculate it based on fuel pressure, pulse width, and adding it up over time. BUT I have no idea how to approach it with the Terminator X. Due to the fuel tanks we have to use (foam filled/plastic baffles), a fuel sender doesn't work very well. Ideally, it could be reset with a button, either input or on the dash.

Thanks Danny. Have they changed the ability for Math Channel on Terminator X EFI? I found this thread saying it was not available. https://forums.holley.com/forum/holl...els#post279303.

I also didn't see anything in that thread pertaining to fuel consumption. The only calculations I saw were using current numbers and datalogging them, rather than a summation of all previous numbers as well. Thoughts on how to approach that?

I've had to fight the gauge issue in race cars. My solution is a solid state sender and a 2" tube running to the bottom of the cell with a few 1/4 inch holes around the bottom of the tube. A slit cut in each piece of foam lets the tube in.

If you sort out the consumption math let us know, I'd like similar functionality on my YJ. :)
