Wheeler, here are a few thoughts:
1) CTS - It's a known issue that the CTS Holley uses is not properly calibrated leading to inaccurate readings. When the engine is cold the CTS reads too high. Notice at the start of your log the Manifold Air Temp reads 64°F but the CTS reads 73°F. That means your Coolant Temp Enrichment table is not getting used as designed. It's fueling for 73°F when the actual temperature is 64°F. Swap out the Holley Sensor for Standard Motor Products TX3.
2) Next change the A/F Ratio Offset (center tab) in the Temperature Enrichment section of the fuel table to -0.6 at -40°F then ramp to 0 at 140°F
3) Temperature Enrichment table - You need to do a little work here as you are dropping off the temperature enrichment a little too quickly. When you first fire the car the enrichment is only about 4%. On my table I have it set to 130 from -40°F to +40°F. From there I ramp it in a fairly straight line to 100 at 120°F.
Once you get those major areas addressed, then you can start fine tuning like in the link Danny provides above. But in my opinion you need to make the adjustments I listed to get you in the ballpark first. Every combo is different and that's where the fine tuning comes in, but you need to make some big changes first. I think you'll see really good results right out of the gate.

You may want to increase you Coolant Temp Enrichment so your Closed Loop doesn't have to do so much work.

I think I have it in the compressed folder. Is the Config File the base setup I used on install? Like my base settings? I'll try to get that saved here too if that's what you need to see? It was street/strip cam setup.
I got the correct EFI software downloaded, looked at my file & can see it was all over the place starting, flattened out until I put it in reverse. Anyway please let me know what other info to provide. Thanks to all in advance.Attached FilesLast edited by Wheeler; 05-17-2020, 11:06 AM.

Holley V5 is not Sniper EFI software! Pay attention when on the Holley EFI Technical Library webpage (LINK). A large red banner separates Holley's different EFI systems by name.
It's easier to use the Sniper EFI laptop/PC software (and you might want it for future tuning anyway). However, you can save the Config File onto the SD card, then insert the SD card into a PC/laptop computer, make the change(s), then insert the SD card back into the 3.5" TSLCD and upload it into the ECU. This is explained in the Sniper EFI instruction manual:

This is the same procedure for Holley Terminator X/X Max EFI users:

Datalog & Global Files can be linked to a document hosting website. I use Dropbox.com.
Files can also be "zipped" (compressed zipped folder) & attached directly to a forum post ("Go Advanced" & "Attachments").
Your Config File is in the "Documents", "Holley" folder, "Sniper" folder, "Config Files" folder (.hefi file).
Your Datalogs are in the "Documents", "Holley" folder, "Sniper" folder, "Data Logs" folder (.dl file).
Someone will analyze/troubleshoot the problem & offer advice.

Please Help Review My Datalog
Hey guys. I'm new to this. I can't even figure out what I need to download to read this file. I build this rig for towing. I tow about 7,000 LB trailer & quad. Here's my specs:
1998 GMC Sierra
383 stroker with Vortex heads.
Holley Sniper EFI mounted on Edelbrock RPM Performer Intake
Holley HyperSpark distributor
Comp Cam 08-302-8
MSD 6EFI ignition
MSD Blaster Coil
JBA Shorty Headers, NO cats 2.5" exhaust
4L60E with Corvette servos, Beast Shell clutch kit
Fast transmission controller
4.56 gears
295/70/17 (33.26" rubber)
Dyno numbers were 250.67 HP 322 TQ @ 3800 RPM.
So I've always had starting issues when cold, & I mean like in winter & even in summer when engine is cold. It cranks & cranks. I've ready Danny's posts on Coolant Temp Enrichment. I've read & reread the tuning manual. I don't comprehend everything, so that's why I'm turning to you guys for advice on reading my datalogs. Please tell me what to download. I tried the V5 software, but it says it can't read my datalog.
I've had my truck to a speed tuner shop & in all honesty they know their stuff, but I'm not so sure they know the Sniper setups. They told me my truck was lean at startup & he added fuel. It does start better, but not right. My IAC at idle in park is like 30% sometimes. It should be 2-9% correct? So anyway please let me know what your thoughts.Tags: None
