  • Purchased a 7" Stand-Alone Digital Dash, question.

So I purchased the Holley 7" Stand-Alone Digital Dash, and it seems it's missing the coolant sensor. It came with a wiring adapter, and I'm not sure how I go about wiring this deal. Watched the videos, read the instructions. The harness coming out of the Digital Dash does not have a spot to connect in the adapter for the sensor harness. I'm guessing, the Digital Dash needs to come back out, and the small white connector goes in the back of the Digital Dash somehow, no?

The Digital Dash has to come out and there's a small panel on the rear that needs to be removed and the little white connector plugs in the back of the dash. Then the rest of the harness plugs into the adapter. The instructions state the system comes with a coolant temp sensor (page 3): https://documents.holley.com/199r11021.pdf. Andrew

Yeah, installing the little white connector harness is also well detailed (good pictures) in the Digital Dash instruction manual. It's easy to do.
May God's grace bless you in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Thanks. None of the instructions I had showed this connector, but I had a feeling. My other car, I just CAN Bus wired into the EFI, and I was done. This one, I'm going to use the full car pre-wired harness and start with the basics and go from there.

But it does seem as though I was missing the coolant temperature sensor. Only two sensors came with it, and one was air temperature, and the other oil pressure. I also bought the TPS sensor for the carburetor, so I'm hoping I can use that to trigger the datalog like I did on the EFI version.

Last stupid question, which IO do I use for TPS? Nothing in the book and add on harness list for a TPS. My Holley TPS sensor came with a 3-pin plug and I was going to use IO6. The last three wire cable I got has green, black, and an orange wire. The TPS has a blue, black, and a grey wire. Which go to which? Or I can get out the Ohm meter and see, but figured I'd ask.

I can use this to trigger the datalog function correct? That's how I did it on my Sniper 4500 deal. I set the trigger at 88% throttle to trigger the datalog function.

What's the part number for the TPS sensor that you're using? Andrew

OK, nearly ready to apply power, last stupid question, I swear. If I already have an AFR sensor in the car, can I piggy back the wires from the sensor in parallel to get and record AFR into the dash, or do I have to put another sensor in?

So I have power on it, and trying to get some items to work.
                        1) What's the baseline setup for a pressure sensor that holley sends with the kit?

                        2) I applied the yellow wire to negative coil side for RPM, and I have no signal. So that's a question.

                        3) TPS sensor is not reading either.

                        Everything else is working.
