  • Holley 12-305 fuel pressure too high.

Hi. I've been running the MSD Atomic 2 Master Kit (with the included Sniper EFI fuel pump) for quite some time now with the only issue being that the pump is too loud.
Therefore we decided to purchase a 12-305 in-tank fuel pump. However, after installing the fuel pressure readings were 65 psi at idle and up to 75 psi when the alternator was charging the battery (so the pump had 14.2V).
I've double checked the fuel pressure using an external gauge.
I've removed the return line since the pump was advertised as being "returnless" since the excess fuel should get dumped right back in the tank.
Anyone else is experiencing this? What can be done to prevent this from happening? Should I install a voltage regulator or something?

I got a replacement fuel pressure regulator unit, pump now works correctly.
