Took the car for its first ride today. No inhibitors on either the CL or Learn. CL Advanced set to 2, Learn 100% gain. At idle it will be in Closed Loop & Learn active. I've given neither CL or Learn any inhibitors, and Startup Enrichment is at 100%. In fact, it's working at idle, just never off idle. Thanks.

I checked all that on a second run, except still unclear how to datalog applicable to diagnose sensor errors. But I can report at idle & low loads/TPS it will go into CL & Learn. The engine is running clean, snappy, I even let it run into boost a bit. Nothing has been touched on the engine, since the FAST install was pulled. I plugged the TPS without splicing into the known good TPS. I did view & datalog TPS, and it appears solid as a rock. I let it lock in the converter in OD, and put it in its cruise state, steady and neither the CL nor the Learn works. Is there a particular datalog configuration I need to run to clarify "noise" in the signal or whatever could be causing it? All other functions aside from a bit long to start seem to be working fine. I can live without Learn, but not Closed Loop. Thanks.

With no TPS % signal, the ECU remains in IAC Ramp Down mode (above idle), which is Open Loop.
The ECU must receive valid RPM, MAP & TPS changes for Closed Loop to function properly above idle.
I let it lock in the converter in OD, and put it in its cruise state, steady and neither the CL nor the Learn works.
The EFI (laptop) software, ECU firmware & touchscreen unit (if applicable) must all be V3/V4 compatible (LINK).
Is there a particular datalog configuration I need to run to clarify "noise" in the signal or whatever could be causing it?
Click the "E" (top Toolbar) to edit what the datalogger displays. In the Data Monitor/Datalogger, clicking on the letter
"E" allows you to Edit (add/delete) data channels for each View List. Drag & drop data channels to & from the View Lists.
The data channel list (left side of Graph Setup) is very long, so you need to scroll it to the right to see every channel.May God's grace bless you in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Yes sir, I have the 5.7" touchscreen updated to V4 from V2 using those pages. I have the newest software on the laptop and I upgraded the ECU to V4 from that link last week.
Yes TPS Autoset works perfect for it. It returns to zero, it looks roughly that CL and Learn work till roughly past 6-8 TPS. The MAP is working great it's key on engine off 102 kPa vs the internal 101.5 ish. and while it's slightly higher than I'm used to at idle I don't have the tune polished liken the XFI either, very similar at drive off and cruise and when I let it get into boost a bit it made nearly exactly the line and mount I'm used to got that RPM, fuel pressure is showing higher than the XFI system (and so higher than I have it set in software not sure if this affects CL or Learn). One thing the nomenclature is different, MS3 is authority, fast is gain etc., but the selections are very similar to what I'm used to. (I wish I could change the map and RPM axis to align cells for my combo but that's another discussion) I also know about how my car is gonna act map vs rpm on drive off and while I have twice the resolution I did have (another reason for the swap 32x32), the car is driving off very similar to what I'm used to experiencing, therefore it was easy to quickly set those cells manually and get it close. If I ease out very low TPS CL cuts off just a second like it should cause I've read some of your other post and when AE enrichment is active it will drop out. Then at a certain point or amounts off acceleration they both have drop out even if thought the engine is cleanly accelerating. I also noticed on down side of hills when I set off it goes back into CL and Learn but not while I'm at steady state load or cruise.
I'm using the 5.7" TSLCD and I have it configured to watch the CL & LEARN turn from red to green.
FYI: Also, the transmission seems to be responding perfectly.
On the datalogger, I'm just learning that!!! On all my FAST system you setup what you want to log first. I'm just last night realizing that the Holley ECU is recording ALL data and I decide that I want to view. I really like that. What channels should I enable to troubleshoot this? The engine, RPM, TPS & MAP all seem to respond appropriately. I'll probably run up and grab a TPS sensor, I have two cars that could share a spare not that big of a deal.
Thanks for the help just let me know what to enable to look for what's dropping it out please. The system would be great if not for this. I can live without Learn, but not CL. Thanks.
Another update: I had to leave for a bit, but I noticed low left corner of screen it flashes "Message From ECU".
I confirmed no matter the load it's approximately shutting off at 8% TPS, below it's on even if coast, and above it's off.

Your post is just too long for me to read right now (especially after it took me 10 minutes to edit). For the best tech help, please keep your posts short & concise.May God's grace bless you in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Record & review a short datalog of this occurrence. It will most likely reveal the problem.
Or post the Datalog and your Global File on a document hosting website. I use Dropbox.com.

Configuration & recent datalogs: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/d0oh192sa...nkeRUhWPa?dl=0.
One seemingly contradiction, in the instruction referenced it says to set the sample rate to 100, but in the Help files under datalog, it says to use "System Log" type logs for cam & crank etc. (But when you select System Log type, it doesn't have a field for sample rate.) Just to be clear, I set to Type 1, Normal Datalog Log Type, with a Logging Rate of 100, and then add the two indicated Diag fields to a current log config, correct?

Fuel Graph VE% needs to blended smooth.
AE Correction vs TPS scale is zeroed out. (?)
AE vs TPS RoC Blanking is 20? Try 5 instead.
Individual Cylinder Fuel Correction, -20% all cylinders. (?)
Idle Spark P & D Terms set to 20, try 40 & 60 Terms.
RPM Above Idle To Start Ramp is 800, try 1000 RPM.
RPM Above Idle To Re-enable Idle Control is 300, try 200.
RPM Parked Position set at 100% across the entire table. (?)
Advanced 2D Per Gear Table/Fuel Flow Offset/Advanced Enable set to −
TPS Above 8% - "Inhibit CL Compensation & Learn When Activated"!
↑ Please be more careful with programming your Global File. ↑

Holley EFI Datalogger Instruction Manual:
Logging Rate – The logging rate can be set up to log between 1 and 100 frames per second. Logging rate determines how many snapshots per second are in the log. In other words 10 FPS means that you’ll have 10 frames of data per second. 100 FPS means 100 per second. Be aware that high rate logs use up space more quickly and take longer to download, although sometimes they are necessary to capture fast transient events. Using a lower rate does not mean that the data is sampled at a high rate and averaged over the specified period. Each point is a snapshot. If you want to do smoothing then take the data at a higher rate and then apply smoothing after the fact in the DL viewer. You do not have to specify a logging rate for the system logs since they are event based. You will get a snapshot every crank or cam edge, which may very well be much more than 100 FPS. So when the engine is running the SL files get large pretty quickly- particularly with high tooth count wheels.

Danny, holy cow I'm SO embarrassed. I literally purchased this unit over my current system for the PER GEAR Advanced Tables Per Gear & TCU control. To summarize, my normal drive off cells (VE% 58-63, RPM 1700-2100 ) are EXACTLY the same as when I cruise at 58 MPH with my converter locked in. So to be lean at cruise had me to lean at shifts in first. For example, and also with the ProCharger revving the engine SO fast, and a 4L80E being so slow mechanically to shift an RPM setting of say 5700 on their simple TCU, it would shift at 6500, 1-2 but maybe 5900 2-3. I played with those tables in the Advanced tab before I even got the ECU, and theorized how I would use it. I've not even been back to that tab. Wow, totally embarrassing. Some of the curves I was just playing with for variables, but I didn't realize about Individual Fuel Correction I haven't been in it. Thanks so much, wow really embarrassed right now. Guess you won't need that 9 psi WOT high resolution datalog I just uploaded? LOL! Thanks for your patience & understanding.
One thing, that explains why it deactivates CL & Learn in First Gear (if I read that Advanced table right), but why all the gears? And I just made a full first into 2nd gear WOT PSI pass and CL never kicked in?
EDIT: I think I see it now, that portion of the table would apply to anything. I thought that each "Table tab" was a gear. Wow, well me being ignorant is better than EMI. LOL.
Would like to confirm CL & Learn work fine even in boost @ WOT. Trying to get this resolved before surgery, and as I thought I learned with previous problems you can rarely be comprehensive & quick. Thanks.
