AN fitting onto factory 3/8 rubber hose

Which fittings would I need in order to be able to adapt an AN fitting onto my factory hoses?

A rubber hose will first require a barb to NPT (pipe thread) fitting:

Then use a female NPT coupling to thread it to a -6AN fitting.

However, it would be simpler and easier to connect the -6AN fitting directly
onto the ⅜" metal line (thus eliminating the entire length of OEM rubber hose):

Or, if it's possible to remove the OEM transmission & power steering fittings,
Earl's might have a direct fit fitting. (You'll need to know the thread size.)

For ⅜" I.D. hose, you'll need to use -6AN fittings.

Hi. I have an 03 IS300 and was looking into running dual coolers (for auto transmission and power steering) and have a few questions regarding what I need for fittings. The factory lines for the transmission and power steering is 3/8 inner diameter. Which fittings would I need in order to be able to adapt an AN fitting onto my factory hoses? Not familiar with the AN system of sizing hoses. What would be the most similar diameter for my factory 3/8 ID hose (-6AN or -4AN perhaps)? Thanks.
