Default 4160 pump discharge check ball?

Hey gang newbie here. I have model #80457 carb that I am rebuilding. The question I have is during reassembly I see on the instruction sheet shows the pump discharge check ball and ball weight that goes under the pump nozzle. I don't recall one being there when I disassembled it. Do all these model carbs have those parts? I see in the new kit there are two steel balls and a piece that might be the ball weight. Any help is much appreciated. Thank you.

According to this 4150/4160 exploded view, only mid 70s & earlier carburetors used those two parts:
